Not in my view. Raised in a family where everyone has been a liberal, pretty much for generations, including my great-uncle who went to West Point. I often describe myself as coming from "generations of trouble-makers." They include another great-uncle (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mordecai_Ezekiel); my great-grandmother, who worked for Carrie Chapman Catt; and my uncle (https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/hicrc/faculty-and-staff/ezekiel-rafe/ who wrote https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Racist_Mind).
