In the question for so-called balance, the MSM has been amplifying the right-wing lies against the Clintons. We see it now in the coverage of the election. For example, Trump has proved himself a bigot with his words and actions for decades. Hillary called him on it. He responded by calling her a bigot, and by pulling out the same old nonsense about Robert Byrd. The media reports it as "both sides" rather than clearly pointing out that Byrd had a change of heart, was repentant, and by the time of his death, was honored by the NAACP.
The media should be aiming for truth, not balance. When they present matters of opinion, balance makes sense. But on issues where there is truth involved, bringing in someone with a contrary opinion is not journalism, it's pandering.
