I am planning on using ADO in conjunction with IBM AS/400 client access and would like to learn/test ADO with VFP6 and maybe even test much of my code offsite from the AS/400 machine. Unfortunately it does not appear that the Ole DB provider for use with the VFP6 OBDC driver supports much of ADO's feature set. Every resource I have seen on ADO and VFP is using SQL server as the back end. I have two questions.

Does anybody know of an inexpensive way to use get an inexpensive server to test ADO with?

What experiences have people had with VFP ADO and AS/400 Client Access as an OLE DB provider?
