Trump does not look very fond of the US constitution, from the top of my head (and I stopped listening to that clown long ago) he wants to end birthright citizenship, in clear violation of the 14th Amendment. In any case he should be proposing to ammend the Constitution if he does not like it and not spin it's text (he calls it "wrong policy"!, seriously)
