I am guessing from database entry that table is housed on local platter ?
If dbc is used, that is in local exe or at least locally installed data dir ?
In vfp9 a sporadic bug was fixed where closing and reopening seldom resulted in wrong alias, so from version no dice.
I'd sandwich an select() and afields() calls between those lines, hoping to get the info reflected in error log before trying via patch programming or simple doevents...
