The other day I used the term "girl" in a personal (non-work) setting, and someone jumped on me.

I use the term "girls" and "guys" all the time. And truthfully, if someone uses the term "boy" in a loose and non-judgmental way on me ("that boy watches way too much college football", "that boy sure can drink Guinness", "doesn't that boy ever sleep?"), it doesn't bother me.

The world of political correctness just baffles me.
