No, though that team of women who fit the physical profile for being good at gymnastics was a lot better than it would have been back in the days when black and Latina girls weren't given a chance to compete at that level.
However, the research I'm talking about (and provided an indirect link to yesterday) refers to organizational decision-making. When everyone involved in making decisions has pretty much the same background, they miss and fail to consider some good ideas or they fail to notice some problems with ideas. Diversity at the table puts more ideas on the table and sees more of the issues with ideas.
