Yes, he has a complete constitutional right to do what he did. I'll defend that to the end - just like I'll defend my right to say that I don't agree with him. Barack Obama was right today when he said, "democracy can be messy".

Why wasn't he doing this when he was performing well in the league? The timing strongly suggests he did this to protect his position on the team. Had he been released by the 49ers, he easily could have turned around and said that he was released for holding unpopular views.

I don't care what Fox News says. If he indeed donates the money, he'll be a better man than anyone at Fox who criticizes him.
