First off, I wouldn't peg feminism as starting around 1960. I'd peg it as starting in the middle of the 19th century. What has it done for women?
Given them:
- the vote
- the right to have their own money and credit
- the right to decide who to marry and whether to stay married
- the right to custody of their children in the event of a divorce
- the right to hold any job
That's off the top of my head.
