I'm lucky enough that it was both.
I probably changed almost as many diapers as my wife did, and I've done the bath duty almost the entire time. The diaper changed was obviously a necessarily evil, but I never knew how much fun the bath time would wind up being.
Fathers should be involved as much as they possibly can.
