Pretty certain that you could hack it somehow using a grid as listview replacement, either with additional, differently clorored rows or multiline controls exchanged for textbox.
Perhaps with a TreeView it might be possible to allow user to decide for himself if he wants those additional info lines.

If your mind is set on Listview, look through all activeX offerings: pretty certain anything you could hack in the time billed for ~300 is less polished, if you find something to your taste ;-)
