Sorry for posting this here, but didn't know where else to post.

I have never really used Microsoft OneDrive, and have no interest in using it as a installed app that will synch anything on my hard drive.

However, I have an interest in using it through its web interface at onedrive.live.com. I can see here that I can easily drop a file or folder there (or use the Upload button) and it will in fact be uploaded. My concerns are these:

1- Can I be absolutely positive that Microsoft is not doing some kind of synch behind the scenes that might eventually delete or even touch the original file?
2- If I upload and then eventually download a folder of files this way, can I be positive they will download exactly like the originals?
3- I would NEVER want these marked as Public so that just anyone to be able to access these files, as they are business related, or even some source code.

Or other suggestions are also welcome - basically what I would like to do is just be able to have some quick backups of some important stuff available if I don't have my hard drive backup easily available.
