>- General: Let apps on my other devices open apps and continue experiences on this device
We can't allow experiences on a device to be discontinued, can we? No that I understand what this means, whether it's something you spread on toast or pour into tank, but it's obviously a must have.
That being said, I'm happy to announce that I've finally had enough and taken my machine back. After 30 years of fighting M$ (yes, that long!), three weeks ago I had another system crash and W7 simply refused to reinstall until I unplug both the DVD and the SSD. Nice, I wanted to install it on the latter, but no, there's no provision for that, you have to install it on a HD, then clone the partition to the SSD. Well, screw that - I've installed Ubuntu 16.04 (april 2016, that is) and then created a virtual box with W7 in it. Gave it two cores (out of 8), 4G (out of 16) and 180G of disk (out of 4,1T) and installed only two M$ apps - VFP and SQL 2014 Express. Disabled most of the services, turned off updates, eye candy and, ah, put its c: drive on the SSD. And once I got it stable and working as I like, let it clone the machine overnight (takes about six hours). So I have a spare.
And that's it - I own my box again, and the bastard is in the cage.
