There is an expression that I'm sure most have heard. While maybe a tad oversimplified, I also think it's largely true, so I'll paraphrase it a bit.....if Hamas stopped fighting tomorrow, the conflict would decrease significantly. If Israel stopped fighting tomorrow, Israel would be decimated over time.
