>I have an app that prints reports to a dot matrix with custom size form-fed reports. I designed the reports on my machine at home where I only have a laser printer. At the customer site I have setup the Dot Matrix to use a Custom size layout, but it still wants to feed the next form through the printer halfway (thinking it's 11 inches). Do I need to remove the printer driver info (DEVICE=HPLaser Jet, PAPERSIZE=1) from the .FRX as it is referring to my HP laserjet?

If not, what else could reset the print quality? When I run an old DBase report to this same printer it doesn't reset the print quality so it must be in my app.

I have a program that deletes all that printer information from all of my reports that I run before building an EXE. However, there are cases where I have had to add information for things like 12 inch pages for dot matrix printers. Unfortunately, I have not met with much success. I need to print to continuous postcards that are 4 inches each. My okidata 320 has a papersize for 4 inch fan fold. The only way I could get this to work with my printer was to set this paper size. It doesn't seem to work on non-okidata dot matrix printers. I have to bypass the printer driver for these situations. The only alternative I could think of was for them to choose the appropriate paper size from the Properties of the printer driver every time they printed. Some printer drivers don't have an appropriate page setting. Hope this helps a little.

Marcus.
