Agreed- especially since NULL data value wasn't introduced until VFP 3, meaning somebody must have added it to the original foxbase table.
Bill- I'd strongly recommend using a CASE tool. xCase has the ability to manage VFP views against backends which could be very useful for your multiple backends, but there's another open source option I've seen recommended by some here- hopefully they'll speak out.
