I'm definitely angry at WF. I've been banking with them for a very long time. There are now reports about backlash against employee whistle-blowers.

But it's unfortunate that she (Warren) didn't direct some of her vitriol towards the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

The WF account openings started in late spring 2011. What took the CFPB so long? Did the CFPB examiners ever notice any suspicious activity going back 5 years, and how were audits conducted?

The Ds are praising the "swift" action by the CFPB. Not exactly the word I'd choose.

Seems like many are talking about how the WF case is proof that CFPB shouldn't be reformed - IMO, Congress should be looking at why it took so long and how did CFPB go about their processes.
