>>Yes, the CFPB could have moved more quickly and someone should look into that, but only after they figure some way to get these all the money back from these empty suits and get them behind bars.

>Well, I think someone has to prove that the execs were directly involved with this (and I'm not saying they weren't). But certainly if they promoted internal incentives that were nearly impossible to meet without this kind of cheating, then you get into the issue of the suits creating an environment where it became possible.

After Enron, et al, Sarbanes-Oxley was aimed at just this issue- making sure that senior execs were aware of, and were held accountable for, any action that has a material effect on the financial results.
While I enjoyed watching her dress him down- she was great- the key facts Warren revealed, in my opinion, were how Stumpf heralded the very practice that he now disavows in his conference calls with stock analysts and how those analysts mirrored what he said in their recommendations to buy the stock.

There are some wonderful things going on in the US business world.
My clients are small business owners who work around the clock to find ways to do the right thing for their customers so that they can provide a decent living for their families.
After almost ten years of struggling they and many others like them are finally seeing some success and it's great to see.

Unfortunately, at many large corporations, there are still some Enron types left over.
I'd love to see this guy go to jail.
