I forgot to mention something important (here in the initial message). I am copying record from a table of one database to a table in another.
And the syntax I used was:
insert into MyTable1( field1, field2, field3) select field1, field2, field3 from AnotherDb..MyTable2
Do you see what is wrong with the above?
