Why not use GitHub or one of the free competing tools? Or the Git tooling inside Visual Studio?

>Has anyone use automation, or some kind of script to automate specific commands to be executed in Git, so to avoid going into the Git command prompt? I am trying to simplify a few procedures in regards to this team work with Git and would like to collect some feedback.
