The great part about Electron is that you end up with a desktop app, but it runs lightly, especially when it's a SPA app where all the heavy lifting gets done on the remote server (on the network or across the internet, makes no difference). The Enterprise is a good fit for this type of app, as all those remote desktops add up in cost. As are small businesses who don't want to upgrade their workstations for an app that can crunch stuff, nor do they want to go to remote desktops.
