I wrote elsewhere that it might have been smarter to keep a stiff upper lip, keep on boasting and pre-argue that those females did not raise hell about it, so they were happy with the total arrangement. The PC crowd is lost to him IAC, but

HRC supporters could not claim he would not deliver on his promises/he was only a wind bag
those reports surfacing now would be tainted
he would not have needed to reach deep into non-existing acting skills claiming no one respects women more ;-))
even false reports surfacing now would not tarnish his latest words. He could even quip that a few reports were true, but the others only wished it had happened
