The site is broke up in two versions right now. One outside the support area and one inside. This will eventually be consolidated so all information will be available from everywhere. There has been a lot of issues and remarks over the years about some difficulties to find related information when looking for something inside the support area when being outside and vice versa. Also, has this is tied into the support area, it allows to notify users about what is new without having to read the main page over and over again just to be sure about what is new. As those options are inside the support area, switches will be added, so if you do not want them, you will be able to turn them off.
