In the online world, there are certainly innocent individuals who have fallen victim to nefarious acts.

But when I read this..."Sexual extortion is happening all the time on the internet: typically, a victim is tricked into performing sex acts on webcam by someone pretending to be a potential paramour"....it's hard for me to muster up sympathy. Anyone dumb enough to be "tricked into performing" really has no one to blame but himself/herself. And in the case of teens who get "tricked" into doing it, it's a combination of an imbecile minor and a lazy parent.
