I have read several threads lately complaining about how slowly VFP 6 instantiates objects on a form. Some users have implied that Microsoft admits that VFP 6 instantiates slower than previous versions, but I have not heard anything about any plans to improve this problem in a service pack.

Is VFP 6 really slower than previous versions? Is Microsoft aware of the problem? Are they doing anything about it?

Since I was planning to upgrade to VFP 6 and develop a rather extensive system using it, any authoritative answers would be appreciated.
