How do you select to have the sound go to Bluetooth? Or is it automatic?

Now when I turn the headset on, I tried to listen to a youtube but no sound is sent to the headset. The headset actually works with iPhone. And to test it, I turned the bluetooth off on the iphone, just so it was be interfering. What do you suggest?
