Pretty soon you will be chastised if you don't use the proper Spanish grammar :)

When I moved to CA I took some adult education converstational Spanish classes.

Teacher: "Why do you want to learn Spanish"

Student 1: "It's such a beautiful culture and I want to learn more about it"
Student 2: "My boy(girl)friend is Mexican and I want to be able to talk to his/her family.
Me: Just moved here and I need to speak the native language.
