>>The flaw is that ACA was the only medicine. It's bad logic and bad science to maintain that ACA was the only way to do it.

Your asserted flaw is the flaw- since I never said any such thing. You are presented with a binary choice between improving the ACA and repealing it. Shoulda woulda coulda at this stage helps nothing.

>>You can't look at ACA in isolation without looking at how badly this administration pushed impractical legislation and executive orders.

Unless you're already doing a post mortem, you can't point to other executive actions as having any relevance to what needs to be done next wrt healthcare.

>>Bottom line, ACA is bad and over-architected legislation, implemented by fools.

Bottom line, the above is a trite sound bite that provides absolutely no guidance for what needs to happen next.

>>Even Democrats acknowledge that targeted legislation in such areas as pre-existing conditions would have been sufficient. Instead, you have this monstrosity of a law that expands the power of the IRS. And what do we have in the end? Failed co-ops, insurers leaving the market place, BADLY narrowing networks, increased deductibles for people on employer-based plans, jacked-up premiums in the exchanges, and an increasingly # of physicians who are frustrated. And that's just for starters...

I'm reminded of the dowager in the life boat savagely criticizing the amenities. We know you paid for First Class, but unfortunately First Class has sunk, Madam. The purpose of this vessel is to reach safely ashore by whatever means we can, with focus on griping not doing anybody any good. Clinton is talking about raising a sail: Trump is encouraging the dowager that she can go back to her sunken cabin for a hot breakfast.

>>Lastly, as I already pointed out to Victor (and even he mildly acknowledged), invoking the "this is what you'll get with Trump" is not a relevant argument.

I don't even know what that means.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
