No not everyone one the planet - but seeing how only 36% of American adults can even name the 3 branches of government, and nearly 2/3's of Americans can't name even ONE Supreme Court Justice and apparently around 46% or so of Americans think it would be a good idea to have Trump as a president - so when it comes to politics and government I'd say it's safe to say that I'm smarter than most Americans.

The GOP quit being the party of opposition and the party of obstruction the past 8 years to the point where government gets shutdown and congress won't even do their jobs despite the costs - like not having a hearing about a Supreme Court Justice that we are missing. , they tried to delegitimize Obama's whole presidency with the stupid birther movement, 72% of Republican's doubt he is an American, and 2/3's of Trump supporters think he is a Muslim. Sure he can be disagreed with on policy, but don't kid yourself and think that a big part of the obstructionism is not based on racism. I never said anyone who disagrees with Obama is a racist - look disagree with his budget proposal - fine, discuss. Think he wasn't born in the USA? Ok then you're uninformed or misinformed or and idiot. Think he's a Muslim (and ooh think that baaad) - ok then you're an idiot AND a racist. Sadly it's all too common as the numbers show.
