Barack Obama said (direct quote): " And there is not a situation where the voting rolls somehow are transferred over and people start investigating, et cetera. The sanctity of the vote is strictly confidential"

OK, fine.

In the last 4 years, the IRS sent confidential taxpayer information to the DOJ. in violation of federal law. Only in very specific situations can this legally occur, and the DOJ must first initiate the request. It also has to go through committees on Joint Taxation. So the IRS transferring and even leaking confidential information (which included donor lists) was most certainly illegal.

It's sad that Obama speaks so passionately about the sanctity of the vote, when his administration basically trampled on the constitutional rights of Tea Party/Conservative groups in retaliation of Citizens United.

It's also sad when some people speak so passionately about voter suppression, and yet give this administration a pass on the corruption at the IRS.
