I had to look Arkansas up! ;-) Apart from Dallas (where it did snow one time when I was there btw) the closest I've been is Mississippi where I pulled off the freeway to ask directions in the days before phone GPS and enjoyed meeting a dungareed gentleman who looked me up and down and spat brown stuff into the dust when I asked whether I was on the road to Hattiesburg. (I wasn't.)
