But I did. I had near zero trouble with the traffic cops while in the US - pulled over twice for minor infractions and passed with five minutes' chat each time. Because I look like an average white, grey bearded old rocker. And if they knew my profile (coming from a freshly denigrated nation, with a high frequency of DUI and unpronounceable names), they would have paid a lot. More attention to me, that is, like TSA did - but TSA couldn't read my name, which made me suspect.
OTOH my son in law is a full US born citizen, and gets routinely pulled over, because he tans easily, and wears a goatee so at a glance he may look Mexican.
