This is an op-ed article written by republican Lamar S. Smith from Texas. He has taken more than $600,000 from the fossil fuel industry during his career in Congress and subpoenaed the records and communications of scientists who published papers that he disapproved of, and has been widely criticized for conducting "witch hunts" against climate scientists. The guy is not a climatologist, a scientist, or have any education or background that would allow him to have any insight to this type of thing - he's just a guy who's been bought by the fossil fuel industry. I don't think I'll take the time to look into the other two as they might be equally disturbing - I'll let someone else do those two.
