Yes you are correct. I've checked the values of some of the local variables and found that lcCurrentDir was assigned a specific location in a program. That's the reason why it keeps copying the files in that particular folder instead to the folder where i am expecting the files to be copied

As for the use of macros, some of the codes where from my clipper programs and i just copy pasted some of it to VFP and have not really changed or removed them yet :)
