The cursoradaptor builder included in VFP for native data source type works only with a DBC. The 'Build' button in the 'Data Access' tab is greyed out. I searched the WWW for a solution but didn't find any.
But there is a work around.
Fill the database field with a full path for a free table. The 'Build' button for the 'Select command' in the 'Data Access' tab is no longer greyed out.
Clicking this button shows an error window. You have to continue without closing the builder. After clicking the 'No' and 'Ok' buttons 'Select Command Builder' shows up
From here you can continue normally.
