- Obama did not speak out against the violent protests - only making a general statement that the protesters shouldn't remain quiet. There wasn't even a differentiation between peaceful protests and protests that cause property damage. He didn't even make mention that some of the protesters who were arrested did not vote. (There's some question as to the actual %, but little question that the % who didn't vote is not a small %).
I also find it interesting that he has not said one word about this (and recent similar executions of police officers):
