Stupid question -- Do any of the application's windows have special properties (e.g. AlwaysOnTop) set that might affect the arrangement of the windows? I do vaguely recall that there could be situations where certain combinations of properties with different windows (especially if you hide the main VFP screen) that could on occasion cause MessageBox() window to "pop under" and become modal.
