>"When my candidate loses an election, I expect the winner to appoint people with whom I have political disagreements. But I don’t expect any winning candidate in the United States to appoint people who have trouble distinguishing fact from fiction or a history of trying to deny the civil rights of others."

Reads to me as if you claim to be judge of who is in moral high ground.

"I don’t expect election winners to fail to separate their personal business from the people’s business, or to attack basic American freedoms."

As sums for Clinton charity and appointments given to a certain previous secretary of state probably were less than orthogonal dimensions, such expectations should have been shelved for this election.

I realize that from family history your sensibilities might have other shape than mine or US citizens not having NS refugee history.
But if the US political process is not resilient enoughto survive Trump, all democracies are bound to fail, as Weimar had a lot more odds stacked against defending against a certain austrian.

Trump received a lot of flak on his answer about accepting the elections outcome. Clinton voters should read again some of the articles gloating about Trumps answer and then check their own attitudes.
