>>>What did Obama do about the people at Carrier?

>Carrier's management is *supposed* to outsource jobs to Mexico, to maximize returns for shareholders who are one of their main responsibilities, along with employees and customers. This is the rationale used by the 1% to concentrate on shareholders (mostly themselves) for a generation: they talk about customer focus via lower prices, but that's a short term effect and soon the prices are back where they were. Worse: consider examples like car batteries where so much was outsourced to China that it claimed a world monopoly before normal pricing resumed. Who did that benefit again? Trump is turning the scope back onto the employees and customers, since it's to all US residents' advantage to keep people employed. Simple as that IMHO.
