Hi,

one of my clients called with a problem where my application was crashing as soon as the log in window was displayed. The crash details are scant, Windows just says the executable crashed. Not much more detail than that.

I managed to re-install it and was able to login successfully, then when the user tried, they moved a bit slower than I did and it crashed again. I scanned for malware and viruses but didn't find anything.

I then asked them if they were seeing a blue rectangle around whatever got focus (I was remotely accessing their PC so wasn't sure if it was just a display issue on my end or not). They said: "yes, that started appearing a couple days ago". I figured that was a Windows Theme setting so went to the personalisation screen and set the Theme back to Windows Default and then they were able to use the system!

Is there a known problem with VFP and different Windows Themes? I have a vague recollection of Aero causing problems back in Vista days, but I've never seen anything like this before.
Frank.
