I know of no better way for someone to demean himself than to use gutter language.
To hear it used to perfection- hang out for a while in a prison yard.
Great group to emulate, right?
In my later days in management I saw would-be-toughies - especially women - using gutter language in business and it disgusted me.
I know all the words. I grew up on the streets of Queens, NY and spent a tour in the service with some pretty salty people.
Now and then a word slips out- especially after a bad golf shot- but basically l avoid those words and people who make a habit of using them.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
