I agree with you 100%

Related example: Caitlyn Jenner winning the Arthur Ashe award. Now, I have nothing against Caitlyn Jenner and the related personal decisions. But the idea of giving Jenner the Arthur Ashe award was idiotic. I know the Ashe story pretty well (I did some speeches in high school about Ashe's career, and I know much of the story about his battle with HIV/AIDS). Jenner didn't have to face anything like what Ashe faced. That's not a criticism of Jenner - it's a criticism of those who would equate the two.
