>No, we saw years of the Tea Party, and a Senate GOP leader who said that his primary goal was to make the President elected in a landslide a one-term President.

>So what is wrong with that? Trying to vote someone out of (or into) power is part of the democratic process. I don't understand why you have a problem with it.

My problem was with the idea that he wanted to win the next election, but with the idea that it was his _primary_ goal, more important than actually getting things done.

>The Tea Partiers cleaned up after themselves when their rallies were finished, did not riot and bash in car window or loot stores. Why can't the liberals be as civilized as the Tea Party was?

>I will never do that. I love my country too much for that. I'll be fighting every day to ensure that we don't lose our basic civil rights and take this country back to the era when blacks, women, LGBT folks, Latinos, and immigrants had fewer rights than straight, white men.

>ROFL and LOL!!! In spite of what you think the sky is not falling. I bet you said the same thing when Reagan was elected....

No. I thought Reagan was a terrible choice and a bad President, but no, I didn't think he was a threat to democracy. I've never considered another president-elect the kind of threat I think Trump is.
