>My problem was with the idea that he wanted to win the next election, but with the idea that it was his _primary_ goal, more important than actually getting things done.

>Huh??? Not at all sure what you mean by that - it makes no sense to me. However, IMHO (something that I notice is not a part of your vocabulary), the country would be much better off if Obama HAD gotten nothing done. Fortunately, our president elect and the congress will be able to fix a lot of that. Also, IMHO, Obama seemed to be more interested in the perks that came with the office than he was in actually doing the job.

McConnell's exact words were "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president."

>No. I thought Reagan was a terrible choice and a bad President, but no, I didn't think he was a threat to democracy. I've never considered another president-elect the kind of threat I think Trump is.

>ROFL and LOL!!! So you said close to the same thing. You really are just too funny.

No, I didn't say anything at all close. I didn't consider Reagan a threat to democracy. (Nixon probably was, though I wasn't old enough to have much of an opinion about it at the time.)
