>I don't disagree but advances in medical technology are constantly pushing back viability.

Compared to the early 1970's when Roe v Wade was written (and viability discussed), that's certainly true

One of the issues right now is the 20 to 24 weeks. Viability is EXTREMELY low at 20 weeks - but there's advanced development of the respiratory and central nervous system, and the fetus can distinguish the mother's voice from other voices.

My person cutoff from a legal standpoint is still third trimester, when viability becomes better - but I can at least understand why some states fight for 20 week laws.

This is an emotionally-charged topic seems to get more intense with each decade.

The politician whose position on abortion is closest to mine, is Joe Biden. He doesn't like the idea of them, he's personally against them, but feels the laws should generally stay the same. I also like what Bill Clinton said - they should be safe, legal, and rare.

The problem is that HRC went from a moderate position to an extreme one in the recent campaign.
