>What I was replying to was your sentence "Actually, given your strong stated support of LGBT, I would think your position would be different. Many gay married couples want adopt. (I know two gay couples who eventually were able to adopt and they are good parents). See where I'm going with this???" That didn't say anything about late-term elective abortions. It seemed to apply that because (as you correctly assumed) I think LGBT couples should be able to adopt, I should oppose abortion.

No, I didn't say you should oppose abortion because LGBT couples should be able to adopt - I'm generally pro-choice with limits in 3rd trimester. Since about 95-97% of abortions occur before 20 weeks, that position wouldn't make any sense.

But I'm against late-term elective abortions (which is essentially murder) - and they DO occur. The data is soft on exactly what %, but the "virtually all late-term abortions are due to medical reasons" line from the DNC and many followers is unfounded. Even left-leaning fact-check sites have pushed back on. So even if a woman in third term doesn't want the child, someone else will. Candidly, if someone tells me (in that situation) that I'm being unfair, I don't care. Elective abortions after viability are barbaric.

I am trying to find the exact quote - and when I do, I'll post the link - but about 10-15 years ago, someone in the NY state legislature gave a speech that included the line similar to, "if you need an abortion and even if you're in the late stages, lie....lie, tell them you were raped....do what you need to do, it's your body".
