I have a SQL Server stored procedure that I call with SQL Pass-Through. This stored procedure returns a different cursor depending on the value of the parameter and I would like to force all the character fields into varchar fields of all the cursors that stored procedure returns. I previously defined all character fields in the stored procedure as VARCHAR using the CAST() function.

I tried with SET VARCHARMAPPING ON at the beginning of the application but it doesn't work,

Can anybody help me?
