>>Obama's words as president have consequences - he should never have encouraged this reckless anti-cop movement and the mayhem and loss of life that ensued is his fault.

He has never encouraged anti-cop movement. He has encouraged police accountability and transparency. The mayhem and loss of life that is the issue is the reckless behavior by some cops and the other cops willingness to cover it up. Thanks to cell phones with cameras this is all coming to light the last few years - ya know proving what many communities have complained about for decades.

This goes back to the points I've made repeatedly that just because you're PRO one thing doesn't mean you have to be ANTI something else.

When the president says he doesn't like seeing young black unarmed men being shot in the back by the police, you're pathetic reaction is to call Obama anti-cop. That is what I call "stupid thinking".

>>I definitely agree with you about this. But better be careful, I am sure that you will get a lot of pushback from Victor who doesn't trust any cop. Let's hope that he never has to call a cop for help....

Incorrect as I've never said don't trust ANY cop. What I've said is I don't trust ALL cops - which means that while I might trust some, I'm not foolish enough to trust all of them. I sure never want to call the cops - heck I don't want to get shot by some trigger happy cop who assumes I'm the bad guy because I have long hair! Almost happened to me once too - 1st day I'd moved into a new house and had cops storm in with guns because they thought I had broken into the house. Showed them the paper work for the lease and they left - but hey they came in with guns drawn. Nothing like having 4 guns drawn on you in your own house. Yeah good times.

>Oh, cops are mostly good, but not all.
>Years ago I worked for a bike shop owned by a cop, his cop wife, and his partner.
>The cop was stealing right out of the till, blatantly cheating on his wife, and I overheard him and his partner have a raucous discussion about lying on the stand in court.

>Needless to say, I had enough and left.
>As a parting gift, he later told the next bike shop I went to that he was missing $18,000 and suspected me.
>A wonderful human being.. NOT
>
>i don't think the same of all cops :)

Exactly - not going to be the case for all of them - but at the same time a 'bad cop' is not exactly a rare thing either. If you take into account the number of police that lie on police reports then suddenly your confidence level drops significantly. Combine all this with the militarization of the police and ....well you see the downward spiral happening yes?
