>>You cut off part of my reply (which is unlike you).

I was trying to keep context, about spontaneous attacks. The video is a couple of minutes long showing a big bully spontaneously attacking a little boy. You might form a different impression if you take a look. ;-)

>> Trump's tweet was clearly in response to the Boeing CEO questioning his trade policies.

The President-Elect denies that.

And Boeing execs say they are more concerned about his hostile attitude towards China. If Trump did make trade moves against China, Boeing almost certainly would be caught in the retaliation. So Boeing execs are looking out for their own company, not necessarily what's best for the USA or the policies that got Trump elected.

>>The objection is that rather than responding on policy, he attacked the company.

He criticized the price of Airforce 1. Not for the first time: he's repeatedly suggested that using his own plane could save the taxpayer $$$. The closest to an attack on Boeing is his subsequent "I think Boeing is doing a little bit of a number. We want Boeing to make a lot of money but not that much."

IMHO preparing to supply 2 planes (not just 1) for Airforce 1 is important for Boeing, but I'm not convinced that gouging is the only or even the main cause of the huge cost. E.g. Trump Force 1 may have gold taps, but Airforce 1 can fuel in flight, fly through a war zone defending itself and theoretically survive a close nuke. None of those things is cheap.

Trump has since spoken with the Boeing CEO and now says he's going to participate in negotiating the deal and it it's not sharp enough, the order will be cancelled.

>> That's what an 8-year-old does, not what the leader of the free world does.

Will you still say that if he does manage to save the taxpayer $1B on Airforce 1? Ironically he's well on the way to saving hundreds of millions by stating a cost of $4B when the administration says $3.2B for 2 planes including running costs (currently $180K/hr) for a decade or two.

As for leader of the free world: that's only true if all the free world furriners say so. Seems to me that some people are all in trying to hurt the chances of this happening, poised to blame Trump if they get what they're wishing for.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
