I do both.

I find MS SQL easier to use because their is so much more documentation.
Backup and restore are much simpler in MS SQL

For small installations cost is no longer a factor.
For large installations, MySql might be cheaper.

Of course, MySql runs on Linux, so if you plan to use Linux, that's your choice.
